Dr Mosupi is responsible the promotion and translation of research and development into commercially viable products and services, through transferring scientific and technical knowledge to farmers, the provision of laboratory and diagnostic services and field research facilities, and the protection of Intellectual Property and promotion of commercialization to enhance farming income, utilization of resources and technology.

Dr Mosupi’s work profile spanned across different portfolios under the Ministry of Agriculture and NARDI, commenced as a Regional Crop Production Officer for Central District to Chief Plant Protection Officer to Chief Agricultural Research Officer. Dr Mosupi has also served as Director of Agricultural Research, Director of Crop Production and Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary- Ministry of Agriculture as well as Director – Technical support &
Customer services under NARDI.

Dr Mosupi served on several governing boards and their committees. These include Botswana Bureau of Standards and its Technical Advisory Committee: The National Food Technology Research Centre and the Research and Development Committee; Botswana University of Agriculture & Natural Science and the Finance and Audit Committee, Chairperson of the Agrochemicals
committee responsible for overseeing the implementation of the
Agrochemicals Act.

Dr Mosupi holds a PhD Entomology from the University of Pretoria in RSA, an MSc degree in Entomology (Pest Management and Pesticide Toxicology) from the University of Arizona in the USA and a BSc degree in Agronomy (Crop Science) from Kansas State University in USA Area.
