Dr. Mosimanegape Jongman is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Botswana. He holds a PhD from the University of Pretoria, and an MSc and BSc from the University of Botswana, with expertise in microbiology and biotechnology. His research focuses on developing practical solutions to One Health challenges at the intersection of plant, food, animal and human health. Driven by a commitment to food safety, food security and sustainable development, Dr. Jongman’s work strengthens laboratory capacity, and harnesses science and innovation to address emerging challenges, including those associated with climate change.
Dr. Jongman serves on several national technical committees and is a member of the Botswana Academy of Sciences and the Microbiology Society. He is an award-winning scientist and mentor who has supervised numerous postgraduate students and made significant contributions to research, scientific capacity building
and knowledge generation in Botswana.
As a member of the NARDI Board, Dr. Jongman brings scientific expertise, strategic insight and a strong commitment to advancing agricultural research, innovation and technology for sustainable national development.
