Mr. Nlebgwa is a strategic Human Resources Executive with over 20 years of leadership experience, recognized for aligning HR initiatives with business objectives to drive organizational performance, culture transformation, and sustainable growth.
He currently serves as General Manager, Human Resources at Botswana Power Corporation (BPC), where he oversees comprehensive HR strategies covering talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, learning and organizational development, employee health and wellness, policy development, and employment relations.
Previously, Mr. Nlebgwa held senior roles at the Directorate of Public Service Management (DPSM) under the Ministry of State President, including Assistant Director for Employment Relations and Training and Development. He later led the Human Resource Planning Project, developing the Botswana Public Service Human Resource Policy Framework in collaboration with the Commonwealth Fund for Technical Cooperation.
Academically, he holds a Master’s in Human Resources and Employment Relations (University of Western Australia), a Senior Management Development Programme qualification (University of Stellenbosch), and a Bachelor of Arts (University of Botswana). He is currently pursuing a PhD in Human Resources.
His executive training includes Managing Power Sector Reforms (University of Cape Town) and Public Policy Management and Analysis (University of Queensland). He is a certified member of the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI).
